
Bottomline Media, publishers of Bottomline News Magazine, bottomlinetv.com.ng and Bottomline TV online, recently honored CSP Celestina Kalu, the DPO of Aswani Police Station, Area D, Lagos Police Command, for her good service to humanity and her Gallant Effort In Combating Criminal Activities In The Society.
CSP Celestina Kalu is not just a fine officer, she’s also a beautiful soul and a humanitarian. Reputed for her humanitarian works, particularly as the then DPO of Ogudu police station.
In 2019 the then DPO of Ogudu Police Station, CSP Celestina Kalu, then a Superintendent of Police was reported to have rescued a victim of armed robbery attack at MKO Abiola Park in Ojota area of Lagos.
It was gathered that the robbery victim, one Friday Ajabor, was shot by a two-man robbery gang and was left in the pool of his own blood, but was eventually rescued and rushed to the hospital by CSP Celestina Kalu and her team.
She went ahead to pay for his surgery and even offered to donate blood to quicken his resuscitation.
Her humanitarian action attracted commendations from Nigerians, both far and near, including the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu who invited and presented an award to her for her kindness.
The special recognition award of excellence from Bottomline Media was presented to her by the publisher, Arthur Richard at her office as part of the media outfits media tour of police divisions in Lagos and Ogun States.
The excited Police Chief thanked the management and staffs of Bottomline Media, as she promised to continue to use the position of her office towards the defense, service and development of humanity, especially the vulnerable in the society.
