Shippers Association Lagos State visits Dangote

Shippers Association Lagos State visited Dangote Ports Operations and Dangote Green View Terminals yesterday Tuesday 25th September 2024 at Apapa, Lagos State.

The highlights of the official meeting with the Managing Director of Dangote Ports Operations, Mr Akin S. Omole is to build business symbiotic relationship with the foremost Company in Nigeria.
The gathering also established changes in the leadership of Shippers Association, Lagos State after it was rumored that there were crisis within the EXCOS of the association.

Current President of Shippers Association, Princess Mulikat Fehintola Sanni divulged that the change in the Leadership of Shippers Association Lagos State [SALS] has nothing to do with the BOT of SALS, Cargo Defence Fund, or Nigeria Shippers’ Council. There is no crisis in SALS as the reconciliation team has completed their job and handed over to the 2022 Executive team to direct the affairs of SALS as agreed in the AGM of 07/12/23.

“ Evang. Leo Ogamba is no more at the helms of affairs at Shippers Association . There had been lots of challenges in the house during his tenure. Things really fall apart. But we are back and better now . We are moving on to do great things . We are very positive. New EXCOS are very dynamic. We have lots of good activities lined up. We want lots of supports from people and companies of repute like Dangote Business Groups and others. That is the reason we are here for courtesy visits. We are very optimistic that Dangote will support our members to excel”, Prince Mulikat said.

However, Mr Akin Omole replied that Dangote will support definitely. And he advised SAL members on Unity .

“ Unity is key. Members of this association must work together to excel. That is how the association can move forward “. He said. “ Even the elder ones should carry younger ones a long. This is how to build strong association “.

Publicity Secretary of Shippers Association, Ike Nwagbo notified the gathering that real election is coming up in October where new EXCOS will take over from the current ones as part of positive progress in the association.

Other elites personalities at the visiting were General Manager of Dangote Ports Operations, Captain Philip Olukotun, Wilson Osim , Financial Secretary of Shippers Association , Justina Okonkwo and Ike Nwagbo, Treasurer of the association.

The visiting took place at the Dangote Ports Operations conference room . And it was really memorable according to Confirm News reports . Infact, there were lots of business networking discussions after the meeting.
